The Girls on the Run Young Professionals Board (YPB) is a cohort of caring individuals dedicated to supporting Girls on the Run Georgia’s efforts to inspire girls to be joyful, healthy and confident. The Young Professionals Board seeks to support this mission through volunteering, fundraising, network building, and community engagement opportunities. YPB is a collective of individuals under the age of 40 of diverse races, ethnicities, socioeconomic statuses, genders, sexual orientations, abilities, perspectives and life experiences. The goal of the Young Professionals Board is to build awareness of GOTR with communities who are not already involved and to fundraise for Girls on the Run Georgia so that all girls can activate their limitless potential. Board Member Responsibilities and Expectations of Young Professional Board (YPB) Term Year: July 1, 2025 - June 30, 2026 Member Requirements: Attend a minimum of 8 meetings per year (there are a total of 12). All regular monthly meetings will be held in person, at the GOTR office (1904 Monroe Dr. NE, Atlanta, GA 30324) or at a location near the office. Volunteer for at least one GOTR 5K (fall season in December and spring in April) Attend a minimum of two GOTR service opportunities per year (coach training, outreach events, site visits, practice 5K, etc.) Actively participate in a YPB Committee (Ex. fitness events, wine tasting, Pickleball Open logistics). This may include attending supplemental meetings. Actively support in the planning, fundraising, and marketing of the annual Pickleball Open. The Pickleball Open Committee will be responsible for logistics of the event, but all YPB members will participate in everything leading up to the event and volunteer during the event if available. Assist GOTR Georgia in its fundraising efforts, including advocating for the organization and facilitating connections within your personal and professional networks.
