The start of the 2023 Girls on the Run (grades 3-5) and Heart & Sole (grades 6-8) spring season is almost here with practices beginning the week of February 6. Girls on the Run and Heart & Sole programs will be offered at more than 100 locations throughout greater Atlanta, Athens, North Georgia and Central Savannah River Area (CSRA) this spring.

Today marks the last day at Girls on the Run Georgia (formerly Girls on the Run of Atlanta) for our colleague and friend, Tanya Frazee. While we are sad to see her go, we’re so proud of her accomplishments and excited for her new role with Girls on the Run International!

Girls on the Run is in need of more than 100 volunteer community coaches to help lead teams of participants this spring. Volunteer coaches may be teachers, caregivers of participants in the program or members of the community who have a desire to help girls learn, grow and have fun.

We recognize that serving as a volunteer coach at Girls on the Run requires a huge commitment, which is why we wanted to give a WOW Energy Award to some very special Girls on the Run coaches who celebrated 15 and 10 seasons of coaching this fall.

Welcome to our newest members of the Girls on the Run Young Professionals Board (YPB) – Alli Barfield, Grace Green, Kate Middleton, Sally Rives and Jodie Middleton!

Girls on the Run Georgia announced today that it is the recipient of a $45,000 grant from the Heisman Trophy Youth Development Fund with the Community Foundation for Greater Atlanta. 

As Girls on the Run prepares for the fall season, the organization is still in need of nearly 50 volunteer coaches to help lead teams of participants. 

Girls on the Run Georgia recently welcomed seven new community leaders to our Board of Directors.
